I have been in this amazing industry for 19+ years. I still feel the excitement today as I did from day one.

I have lived in Central Iowa most of my adult life. I love spending time with my husband and daughter, while we go mushroom hunting, long walks in the woods, stargazing, listening to music, watching the latest blockbusters and of course all things hair.

We are also feeling the travel bug so we are looking forward to many vacations. If you have any fun ideas they are welcomed!!

2025 Summer Fishing Trip:

I didn't know until later in life what I wanted to do.

Most thought I was going to be a computer programmer. Well that lasted a whole two seconds as I couldn't see myself sitting behind a desk all day long.

I was a hairstylist in Ames from 2007-2018, then in September 2018 I moved to Ankeny where I started renting out a private suite. I absolutely LOVED my private suite!!

I recently opened my very own Salon Au as of May 1st.

It has been an amazing journey so far.

I am very blessed to be able to work in a career that is so rewarding. Making my guest feel inspired, desired, and that they can always achieve their style with a experience like no other.

When my daughter was 3 years old I decided I wanted to have a career where I could support my family and still be a mother to Amber. Man time has flown by fast, because in just a few months, Amber will be 22 years old and starting her senior year at USD in Vermillion South Dakota to pursue Criminal Justice & become a first responder as a 911 dispatcher.
